Helle Bergholdt

Helle Kirstine Bergholdt is a Post Doc at the Department of Pharmacology at Bispebjerg Hospital (Denmark). She obtained her PhD in Public Health and Epidemiology at the University of Copenhagen in 2015.

Helle’s research has focused on the effects of milk intake on risk of cardiovascular disease, overweight, diabetes, cancer, hip fracture, and mortality in the Danish general population using both observational and Mendelian randomization designs.

She has worked with data from three large, Danish population studies (the Copenhagen City heart Study, the Copenhagen General Population Study, and the Danish General Suburban Population Study) in combination with data from the Danish national health registries.
