Associate Professor Stuart MacGregor is Head of the Statistical Genetic Laboratory at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane, Australia.
I am a statistical geneticist, studying the role that genetic variation plays in determining risk of disease and its risk factors. My lab develops and applies statistical genetic methods to gene mapping studies across a wide range of traits and diseases. In recent years I have played a leading role in various GWAS consortia. My work in Mendelian randomization includes applications in cancer and eye disease.
